These semi-trucks come complete with a bunk behind the driver and passenger seats that acts as “living quarters” for long distance truckers while on the road. The sleeper bunks come in many variations including Sky Rise, High Rise, and Flat Top bunk versions. For longer hauling, Maxim Truck & Trailer carries a broad selection of new and used heavy-duty sleeper trucks.
These are Class 7-8 trucks with GVW of 26,001 pounds and greater. Sleeper units can be equipped with modern amenities that include wall mounted TVs, microwave, Fridge, USB ports and electrical outlets for electronic devices. Bed configurations include single and double bunk options. To meet today’s emissions standards and no idle policies, sleeper units can be fitted with climate control systems from Webasto or Espar that give the cab HVAC capabilities without idling the engine. This not only provides added comfort but it saves fuel.
The new International Truck sleeper models have distinctive features that include enhanced fuel economy and enhanced driver comfort and visibility. If you haven’t driven a new model International truck lately, come to Maxim for a test drive.
A new sleeper truck typically costs $150,000 to $2250,000. Used sleeper units can go for anywhere from twenty thousand to just under what a new unit costs depending on the mileage, wear and tear, etc.
On average, sleeper trucks weigh 17,500 to 23,000lbs.
The industry standard is over 145,000lbs.

When it comes to new sleeper truck models we have for sale, we supply International trucks. However, we also sell used Peterbilt, Volvo, Kenworth, and Freightliner trucks from time to time (and many other truck brands as well).
Our trucks include brand new International Truck units including International LT, International LoneStar, International HX and International RH sleeper trucks as well as later model units including ProStar, PayStar, 9900i and 9400i. Trade-in units from International, Peterbilt, Volvo, Kenworth, Mack and Freightliner add a host of options to our used sleeper inventory. And nearly new rental units from our large rental fleet and high quality off-lease units from our national lease fleet give Maxim the unique ability to offer brand new, nearly new and used semi-trucks from our National dealership inventory. We offer more variety and more inventory than most dealers in Canada because we are a new International Truck Dealer with many locations that sell new units coupled with a large Lease and Rental Fleet that is continually generating high quality used inventory. Most units come with a complete service history and build sheet line set.

Our Truck Sales Reps are extremely knowledgeable and very technical. Many hold their Class 1 license and have been drivers themselves - so they know the industry.
The biggest thing to consider when deciding whether or not to purchase a day cab tractor or a sleeper tractor is travel distance. If you or your drivers are travelling long distances and require overnight accomodations - sleeper tractors are 100% the way to go. The amount of money you'll save on hotel rooms will add up tremendously overtime, even with the slight increase on gas fare sleepers have in comparison to a day cab.
Our many customers who rely on long haul sleepers as part of their Canadian and US hauling include general freight companies and owner operators, but any industry that requires multi-day travel can definitely benefit from a sleeper truck.
Our popular Sleeper truck add-ons and customization include backup lights, fenders, beacons, moose bumpers, engine and cab heater and cooling systems, aerodynamic packages and extended warranty packages. Your options include buying, leasing and renting with flexible lease and rental terms to meet your business and financial needs.
On-site financing is available on our entire inventory. We understand the unique needs of those purchasing or leasing transportation equipment and we’ll find the best financing solution for you and your business.
