The International HV Series is reducing the weight of their new mixer package, removing over 1,000 pounds.
The new HV50B will carry up to 9.75 cubic yards of concrete while remaining under a gross vehicle weight of 66,000 lb. This is estimated to save you around $750 USD per day.
The weight savings came through features such as a front suspension that was optimized to allow for a lower hood height, an all-aluminum bumper, and a fuel-water separator and air dryer that could be mounted on the same bracket.
Crossmember locations have also been optimized, further reducing the chassis weight, and the line of sight for drivers has been significantly improved.
