Now in its 15th year, Maxim Truck & Trailer’s annual charity Pancake Breakfast held on December 3, 2015 in Winnipeg raised $20,000 for the Christmas Cheer Board of Winnipeg. Employees of Maxim, friends, family, suppliers, customers, and others in the community came out to have breakfast and help raise money for a good cause.
Along with the cash donation, the event also collected a full truck load of non-perishable food items for the Christmas Cheer Board. The food donation box was overflowing by the end of the Breakfast.
The event took place at Maxim’s Head Office in Winnipeg and attracted over 500 guests. People were lined up out the door to buy breakfast, tickets for raffle prizes, and 50/50 draw ballots. The final total for the 50/50 draw saw the winner take home over $1400, a new record for the Pancake Breakfast!
“I’m so thankful for all of our employees, customers, suppliers and friends who help to make the event such a big success, says Maxim President Doug Harvey.
The Christmas Cheer Board provides assistance to families receiving Provincial Assistance as well as many of the working poor.
