We are looking for an individual who is seeking to become our Systems Support Administrator.

Reporting to the CIO, you will be the first line of support for Maxim (DLH Group) users. The DLH Group is a national company with 5 distinct organizations operating in both the transportation services industry and trailer manufacturing. The IT department provides IT support for all operations.

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 7:30-4:30, with an hour lunch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide first line technical support to all DLH Group clients
• Perform customer service duties via remote support (online and telephone) with occasional onsite support requirements
• Deploy PC’s and other IT equipment as needed
• Install, configure, maintain, problem determination and troubleshoot Windows desktop operating system based computer hardware, peripherals (including photocopiers/MFP’s), mobile devices and software applications
• Support Corporate Phone System (Premise/ and hosted VoIP) and Smartphones
• Daily Business System/ERP Support
• Identify and respond to incidents, i.e. qualify impact and urgency, notify responsible team, troubleshoot and apply fix, escalate to appropriate team, report incidents etc.
• Respond efficiently and quickly to requested demands on a daily basis
• Accountable for following up and closing tickets
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all Computer Hardware/Software/Smartphone and GPS devices

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• IT Diploma/Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent experience
• Direct IT Technical Support experience an asset
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills; must have the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels
• Shows passion for delivering excellent IT support service
• Be dedicated to a collaborative approach to solving problems
• Experience with or understanding of setting up PC’s in a corporate environment (imaging)
• Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating System (both desktop and server)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications beneficial
• Knowledge of setup and integration of mobile devices
• Phone System Administrator experience an asset
• Confident self-starter who can make decisions and escalate incidents when necessary
• Ability to strictly adhere to policies and processes
• Strong organizational skills with ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently
• Must possess high level of confidentiality and discretion
• Experience with monitoring tools, i.e. ticket management tool
• Must have to ability to travel, and work evenings and weekends if required
• Ability to perform shipping/receiving duties for computer hardware. This can be up to 50 pounds.
