Do you have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and supervisory experience?  We are currently seeking a WAREHOUSE LEADHAND at Maxim’s head office in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will ensure efficient parts service to customers by directing and supporting warehouse and delivery staff, supervising for accurate and safe distribution of truck and trailer parts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Moving those staff to high performance by ensuring they have the correct skills and knowledge
  • Communicating including providing standards and measuring performance and providing feedback
  • Creating the work environment to make them the most productive.
  • Assigns jobs to warehouse staff and monitors accuracy and efficiency by inspecting work in process and work completed.
  • Picks parts based on computer generated pick ticket.  Places completed orders in branch bins or customer direct deliver section of warehouse.
  • Consolidates orders going to same location and packages for shipping.  Loads and unloads couriers and delivery trucks from other branches.
  • Completes accurate associated paperwork.  For example, computer generated invoices for direct customer delivery or customer pick-up orders; creates packing slips for inter-branch transfers; completes credit card transactions for customers.

 

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in all aspects of a warehouse (order picking, shipping, receiving, dispatching, warranty, and inventory control)
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred
  •  Valid forklift certificate preferred
  • Driver’s license and own transportation required
  • Experience in the HD truck & trailer (or related) industry an asset
  • A team player with a strong commitment to the customer
  • Proven leadership skills - motivating, coaching, training
  • Ability to communicate effectively with varying levels of people
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing demands
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds without assistance
  • Basic computer skills with MS Word/Excel, email, internet, keyboarding
  • Knowledge of Karmak business system an asset

 

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM
