Maxim is currently seeking a HEAVY DUTY TRUCK & TRAILER TECHNICIAN for our Edmonton Location. The successful candidate will work independently to complete the diagnostics, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers. Hours:

·        Two week rotation of day and evening shifts required

o   Week 1: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

o   Week 2:3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday

·        Weekend Shift

o   Friday-Monday, 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Identify potential and future problems
• Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
• Update the Service Manager on completion time changes
• Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
• Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Journeyman designation
• Lead hand capabilities an asset
• Safety Inspections Certificate
• Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
• Valid Class One with Air Driver’s License an asset (for road testing)
• Positive attitude and team player
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn in house programs
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding duties
• Familiar with tools of the trade and personally equipped with an adequate supply of hand tools
